JBL Performance Series AV2 is a state-of-the-art 7.1 channel surround processor that utilizes the most advanced digital technologies to achieve the highest possible resolution and fidelity. The AV2 is compatible with all popular surround sound decoding formats and incorporates Harman Internationals exclusive 7.1 Logic 7 processing for enhanced surround sound realism. Along with extraordinary audio performance, the AV2 offers exceptional connectivity, including high bandwidth, HDTV compatible HDMI switching, component video switching, video scaling and up-converting through Faroudja processing and an RS-232 control port for facilitating integrated system operation. Automatic room mode correction for up to 4 subwoofers using either stereo or mono input with minimum phase distortion. This processor has been designed and crafted to provide the user with a high level of sonic performance. Special attention has been paid to minimizing the number of components in the audio signal path, resulting in extremely low distortion,excellent transient response and wide dynamic range. One of the basic building blocks of the Performance system, the PT800 3-way, 8-inch tower satellite can be used in one of three configurations: docked with the PS1400 powered subwoofer to function as an integrated floorstanding loudspeaker system; stacked with the PS1400 but receiving its signal directly from the receiver or amplifier; or mounted on a wall, in a corner or on a bookshelf. Use as many PT800s as are needed for a premium two-channel system, or a 5.1, 6.1, 7.1 or higher home theater system. The 3-way, dual 6-inch center speaker reproduces sound with incredible power, while preserving the clarity and detail of the original recording. Pure-titanium, high-frequency transducer domes with neodymium magnet structures are ultralight to accurately reproduce lightning-fast sounds like cymbal crashes, yet extremely rigid to eliminate distortion and ear fatigue in the transition between the midrange and high-frequency bands. Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS) waveguides evenly disperse high frequencies and precise stereo imaging over a wide listening area. Pure-titanium, inverted-dome midrange transducers and titanium-dome tweeters offer nearly perfect pistonic motion, eliminating uncontrollable flexing found in conventional cones. The Performance Series P52OWS wall-mountable monopole, bipole and dipole configurations offer optimum surround sound in any home theater system, with any film or music recording, and delivers accurate performance with dramatically reduced distortion for incredibly lifelike sound. In addition, the Performance P520WS provides the unique ability to reproduce two discrete channels from one loudspeaker, perfect for upgrading to 7-channels using only five or six loudspeakers. The P520WS is also ideal for commercial or home applications where a single-point stereo loudspeaker is desired. Lastly, PS1400 14-inch, 400-watt powered subwoofer can be used in one of three configurations: docked with the PT800 tower to function as an integrated floorstanding loudspeaker system; stacked with the PT800 without passing its signal to the tower; or in a traditional subwoofer placement separated from the PT800. The PS1400 can receive a full-range speaker-level signal when docked with the PT800, or an LFE signal in either its docked or separated configurations. Use as many PS1400s as are needed for a premium two-channel system, or a 5.1, 6.1, 7.1 or higher home theater system.
